EPISODE 3 - We Love Sugarleaf Vineyard!
Jason and I head to Virginia and Sugarleaf - an award-winning boutique vineyard which is owned by our friends Lauren and Jerry Bias. Jason met Jerry back in the day during college at the University of Virginia (UVA). The 2008 Petit Manseng is our favorite selection - and apparently a White House favorite too - as it was one of three wines served at the Governor's Ball in February. Since the Salahi's own a vineyard in Virginia too, named Oasis Winery, we invited them to a Harvest party at Sugarleaf to check it out.
Last night’s episode revolved around a very serious, sensitive, and often controversial subject of Gay Marriage. I have received a ton of feedback – ranging from “death threat” texts (Unbelievable, right?!?!) to support for being open and brave enough to share our personal challenge to reconcile religious beliefs with our belief in human equality.
